Blended Learning

Blended learning, sometimes referred to as hybrid learning, combines the virtual delivery of academic material with traditional teacher-led instruction.  Therefore, there is a physical presence of a teacher or facilitator and the student in the classroom, with the teacher/facilitator guiding the students’ pace and assisting in learning course material provided by a virtual curriculum via the internet.  Therefore, the student attends the actual brick-and-mortar location, where traditional classroom practices, such as face-to-face teacher-to-student interaction, take place, as well as the use of computer-mediated activities, where computer-generated material and/or techn the learning process.
